We’re proud to announce that Vitiello Communications Group (VTLO) has been named a finalist in the New Jersey Monthly Great Oak Awards. Now in its third year, the Great Oak Awards honors the state’s businesses for their work on behalf of social and charitable causes and nonprofits. VTLO is among 66 finalists to be selected in a rigorous process that includes review by a team of New Jersey Monthly editors and a three-person judging panel. The top 10 honorees will be revealed on September 19 at an awards dinner at The Palace in Somerset Park. Honorees are chosen based on measurable achievements including donations, in-kind giving and volunteer hours, plus creativity, innovation and the impact of the charitable programs and partnerships.
We were acknowledged for our innovative volunteer program, 25 Points of Light, which we were inspired to create and launch as a way to celebrate our 25th anniversary. The program highlights the nonprofit organizations we support and the diverse volunteer activities in which we participate. We continually post photos and stories on our website and social media channels to encourage each other and shine a light on the causes we care about as a way to carry on the good work represented by the program.
Last month, we hosted our second annual volunteer day in our North Brunswick office. Local team members gathered to assemble and pack nutritious brown bag lunches for Elijah’s Promise, a soup kitchen based in New Brunswick. We donated 153 lunches in total, which were distributed to those in need. For team members located outside the New Jersey area, we offered four hours of paid volunteer time as an opportunity for them to give back to their local communities.
We’re honored to be named a Great Oak Award finalist. This recognition by our community is a testament to the generous, energetic people who work at VTLO, and their genuine commitment to making a difference in the lives of others. I’m deeply grateful to each of them.
