Each year, we dedicate a day to gathering with family and friends to reflect on the things for which we are grateful. What if we extended this attitude of gratitude throughout the year? The thankful app aims to do just that. The mobile gratitude journal features a blessing counter, a place to jot down notes about what you’re thankful for, inspiring quotes, and a feed that shows what Twitter users are #thankful for. The app reminds you to give thanks each day.
In the spirit of cultivating a culture of gratitude, members of the VTLO team created our own gratitude journal on Chatter, the internal social network we use as our virtual water cooler. Here are excerpts:
Lydia Mihalek is thankful for her health and the health of her children, and that modern transportation allows her to visit family and friends. She adds, “I am thankful for faith, hope and love because these are free, irreplaceable and the only things that last a lifetime. And for words, written or spoken, that give meaning to our lives.”
Adrina Walker reflects, “I am grateful that every day is an opportunity to pay forward all of the good energy I’ve received from others. A little sunshine goes a long way, and I plan on shining as much as I can.”
Barbara Rosenbaum Singer is grateful for her family and for the close relationship her children have. She adds, “I am thankful that I get to work with such nice people and do interesting work. I’m also grateful for having grown up in a time before iPhones and digital media where people could just talk to each other.”
Barbara Willis is thankful for her life journey that taught her to be resourceful and always keep her sense of humor. “I am so grateful for the many friends who fill different important roles in my life, for my career that has allowed me to thrive from my creativity, and for music and all my musician friends whose talents fuel my spirit,” she says.
Linda Eterno shares, “I am thankful for my kids who work hard towards achieving their goals and make me proud of them every single day!”
Pat Andreoni is grateful that all the children in her immediate family have found love and are now sharing their lives with their significant others. She says, “I’m thankful that they have brought us all together this Thanksgiving.”
Richelle Feigin is thankful for her wonderful family and friends. She shares, “I am so thankful for my amazing kids who are funny and brilliant. And I am grateful that I work for a company that allows me to balance my work and being a mom while contributing to great causes like volunteerism.”
Jeri Dube says, “I’m grateful for all the beauty and laughter in the world, and for all of the people who add to it every day.”
I am grateful for Vitiello Communications Group (VTLO)—for the amazing team of people who make a difference in the lives of our customers every day; and for the customers who entrust us with the important work of crafting the stories that breathe life into their business goals.
On behalf of all of us at VTLO, we wish you and your loved ones a happy Thanksgiving.
